My love affair with Rihanna

In 2006, one of my major guilty pleasures was Rihanna's SOS. I had to keep this love quite secret because Rihanna's bubblegum pop image clashed with the dark brooding tastes of my friends. Downloading the song got me quite a nasty look from my significant other when I was caught bopping around in my chair to it.
I figured at that point Rihanna would fade into the background and become another Mandy Moore.
Rihanna seemed to grow up overnight. One minute she was the pretty girl-next-door type that was singing simple and catchy pop songs. Then suddenly she cut all of her hair off (spawning a hairstyle on par with "The Rachel" or "The Posh") and was strutting her stuff on MTV in fetish gear and bondage.

She suddenly became a style icon, experimenting in everything from girly and pretty to gothic and macabre. Her newest single, Disturbia, shows her dark side.

Sure, she seems to have stolen a few dance moves from the Silent Hill nurses, but I forgive her.
Thank you Rihanna for bringing an edge back to pop music. And for not telling us you are punk rawk and naming a song "sk8r boi".

I thought I was the only one with a secret thing for Rihanna! She's alright, but every time I here 'Take a Bow' on the radio I feel like punching someone in the face, hahahha
